Safety silencers
February 1st 2007

Silvent has introduced a new series of safety silencers for installation on pneumatic valves.

The silencers are equipped with a warning indicator that shows when backpressure in the system becomes too high due to contaminates in the diffuser.

This allows service personnel to both see and, through an elevated noise level, hear that it is time to change the silencer before production stoppages occur.

Since the safety silencer's warning indicator extends when activated, it is also possible to use electronic monitoring to automatically stop the machine for silencer replacement.

The safety silencers provide noise abatement of 30 to 35dB(A) and the company offers versions with connection diameters of 1/8 to 2in.
