BOOSTING SAFETY AT CHEMICAL SITE
April 1st 2004

When safety supplier Arco won a major contract on Teeside, it turned to Castell Iso-Lok for assistance.

A multinational chemical company required an isolation programme for one of its sites, so Castell Iso-Lok supplied Arco with almost 40 000 lock-out and tag-out products, colour-coded and customised with numbers and names.

The companys Multi-Clasps and personal padlocks are used for traditional lock-out, tag-out and Permit-to-Work schemes. They enable isolation of a range of plant and equipment on the chemical site.

All personnel engaged in active plant work and maintenance are protected, ensuring safety by enabling the personal isolation of valves and equipment.

Key-alike suites, where several padlocks have identical locking mechanisms, were supplied, together with key-to-differ suites.
