Calculator give-away
August 1st 2004

Procter Machinery Guarding is giving away a risk assessment calculator based on the requirements of BS EN 1050, the standard for machinery risk assessments.

It will be sent by email upon request and can be used on pcs running Microsoft Excel.

Designed for ease of use, the calculator incorporates checklists and look-up tables to enable risk assessments to be carried out on almost any static machinery. A hazard rating number and risk level are calculated automatically for each identified hazard, thereby indicating at-a-glance where users should consider taking action.

The calculator is based on a Microsoft Excel spread-sheet, though very little knowledge of this software is required to use the tool. All calculations are handled automatically.
