Pilz Automation Technology has released a new version of its PAScal software package for performing the calculations required when designing safety-related control systems for machinery in accordance with EN ISO 13849-1 or EN IEC 62061.

The company says that PAScal makes it easier to ensure compliance with the standards' requirements and that it helps to save time and costs.

Version 1.2.0 includes a calculation graph as per EN ISO 13849-1, and it also benefits from a number of enhancements to both functionality and usability.

In addition, PAScal 1.2.0 runs on PCs with Microsoft Windows Vista.
