For access and control
December 1st 2005

Kitchen furniture maker, Paula Rosa, has installed Fortress Interlocks’ eGard as part of a new guarding and interlocking system at its plant in West Sussex.

The systems consist of solenoid controlled gate switches with safety keys from the amGard range and control stacks configured from the eGard range.

The systems guard wood panel cutting and palletising conveyors. The gate switches provide heavy duty access control and the eGard stacks have start and stop modules and an emergency stop.

These were mounted at each access point to allow easy access without visiting the main control panel.

Installation of eGard was a simple case of drilling holes 50mm apart in a vertical line and plugging in a cable.
