One relay – five functions
August 1st 2007

Available from ifm electronic is a new safety relay with five different functions. The G1501S conforms to all the required standards (IEC 61508, EN 954-1) and has a depth of just 105mm.

The G1501S will work with e-stops, including cross-fault monitoring and optional simultaneity monitoring. It can also generally be used with mechanical safety switches and sensors. Twohand controls to EN 574, type IIIC, mechanical or electronic, can be connected to the unit.

ifm electronic says its own fail-safe inductive sensors will also connect to the G1501S. These include the Cat. 4 units that can be daisy-chained and still maintain the safety category and new units that have 2 x OSSDs.
