Fire strategies

Tube Lines, working in partnership with London Underground to modernise the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines, has opted for help from Kingfell Consulting.

The consultancy is undertaking a station-bystation study to ascertain the step-free access at the busiest of the 100 stations that Tube Line maintains.

This information is used in the development of fire strategies for means of escape from the stations.

Kingfell was also responsible for writing the Category 1 fire safety standards used by London Underground throughout its network for projects and maintenance.
