GLASS FRAGMENTS CAUGHT BY SLEEVE
October 1st 2005

Berson now provides reusable Teflon®FEP sleeves to protect the lamps in its Insectron range of insect exterminators.

The sleeves ensure that, in the unlikely event of a lamp shattering, the glass fragments will be contained safely and not contaminate the area below.

Berson says that most insect exterminator manufacturers use plastic sleeves that stick permanently to a lamp’s surface to protect it.

However, when the lamps need replacing, the sleeves have to be discarded as well. Reusable protection sleeves, however, can be used again and again, for up to four years, saving users money.

The sleeves, that are easy to fit and remove, have a transparency of 99% for UV-A lamps and 100% for green lamps.

They can be used with the entire Inspectron range, including the IP65/ATEXcertified units.
