Double twist action for coupler range
June 1st 2006

Accidental disconnection of pneumatic equipment while under pressure can have serious consequences for machine shop personnel. To eliminate the problem Legris has developed a range of twist-action, twostage safety couplers.

The C9000 uses a double rotation of the sleeve to prevent accidental disconnection. A first, anticlockwise rotation flushes the circuit downstream on the probe side. Only then does the component allow a clockwise rotation that disconnects body and probe.

The very short time taken to vent the system (as little as 344ms) is said to guarantee system safety even if the coupler is disconnected at speed.

The C9000 Series extends to more than 200 versions.

A wide range of probe profiles and adaptors have been incorporated to ensure extensive interchangeability.

Made in a lightweight material, the device has high flow capabilities, extremely small pressure loss and rapid venting.
