Explosion-proof coils
April 1st 2006

A new generation of coils has been introduced by Parker Lucifer to control solenoid valves in hazardous environments.

The more usual metal housing is replaced by a plastic design and the housing has little internal space to ensure that any spark does not have enough oxygen to ignite and cause an explosion. An interchangeable safety fuse is integrated into the housing.

The explosion-proof coils meet ATEX standards, providing EEx dm IIC T4, T5 and T6 or EEx ia IIC T6 level protection.
