Trackside maintenance can be heavy duty, dirty work.

Although hi-vis garments are worn as a matter of course, their fluorescent and reflective properties can soon be compromised by grease, oil and dirt.

An inadequate hi-vis garment will affect the visibility and, therefore, the safety of its wearer.

Recognising this, 3M has developed Scotchlite Silver Industrial Wash materials that offer high brightness and wash durability and are suitable for use on protective garments that require regular laundering at high temperatures.

Garments incorporating Scotchlite 9910 or 9920 Industrial Wash material can be laundered at home or in industrial laundries without compromising their hi-vis functionality or their compliance with EN standards. For home washes the tape performs as it should after 100 washes at 60°C, or 50 washes at 90°C.
