New look delivers for postal staff
February 1st 2011

In the RoI, 6000 An Post workers have started their new year with a new look uniform designed specifically for mail collection and delivery staff by Hunter Apparel in conjunction with a team of An Post management and staff.

The smart, hard wearing range includes a GORE-TEX fabric foul weather suit, which protects staff from the elements in wind, rain, snow or shine. Through investing in and maintaining the new durable GORE-TEX suits, An Post is making cost savings due to low replacement rates, which also reduces its carbon footprint.

A number of workers tested out the new uniforms during wearer trials during 2010 before the entire work force was issued at the end of the year with their new uniform for the New Year.

The striking and modern design GORE-TEX suits have been a proven success at keeping staff warm and dry.

The quality of the garments is said to be assured and maintained throughout the manufacturing process from technical fabric product, garment design and construction and testing of the end products before dispatch.

GORE-TEX garments are renowned for providing breathable comfort as well as waterproof and windproof foul weather protection.
