PROTECTED BY AN ANTISTATIC SUIT
August 1st 2004

In a number of working environments antistatic charging can put workers and production at risk.

However, when protective clothing with antistatic properties is used in conjunction with other safety measures (humidity control, grounding cables and so on), it can greatly reduce the risk of sparking caused by an electrostatic charge.

DuPont TYVEK coveralls provide antistatic protection as well as such features as low weight, high strength, puncture, tear and abrasion resistance, vapour permeability, water repellence, rot resistance and biological inertness. TYVEK garments are also low-linting and smooth.

The antistatic coating on the non-woven coveralls is produced using chemicals that attract humidity. The coating creates a thin, salty layer that can remove charges.
