Suits those in the nuclear industry
February 1st 2007

Available from Professional Protection Systems is an air fed suit for use in the nuclear and associated industries.

The NU2 suit is said by Mark Whitcher, the company's managing director, to be the result of a re-evaluation of the PPE needs of operatives in the nuclear industry.

He says "We spent a long time with industry members, both management and front line, to find out exactly what was required. The NU2 is the result." The new design is a PVC two-piece that is said to allow maximum mobility, as well as offering component and cost options.

The configuration of the hood and visor gives good all-round vision. Two nonreturn valves in the back of the hood ensure a good air exhaust flow, while the air inlet in the front of the hood incorporates the company's emergency breather system.

Two forms of glove fitting are offered.
