Testing campaign launched by the French Ministry of Labour September 1st 2009 Following a PPE monitoring
campaign by the French
Government DuPont has been
informed that none of its products
fall short of required performance of
protective clothing and can therefore
remain on the market.
The French Ministry of Labour
organised a testing campaign to
check PPE compliance regarding
the protection of workers from
some chemical risks.
The initial phase consisted of
checking whether suits complied
with required norms and regulations
and whether they effectively
protected workers from various
chemicals used in the agricultural,
industrial and construction sectors.
The preliminary results have been
published and reveal: "nine suits in
ten do not conform...the five
manufacturers concerned were
notified of these results and decided,
on a voluntary basis, to temporarily
remove these suits from the market. .
On 3 July, the manager of the
monitoring campaign informed
DuPont Personal Protection its
products, which were subject to
testing, will not need to be
withdrawn from the market More articles from Dupont Personal Protection: |
