Safety professionals will be able to catch their first glimpse of a number of products in uvex's 2009 Climatec range of equipment, never seen before in the UK, at Health and Safety 09 - South.

The products in the Climatic range are said to be made with intelligent materials and processing techniques and are designed to enhance wearer comfort for prolonged periods of wear. In addition to this range, visitors will be able to get a good look at uvex's extensive variety of other personal protective equipment (PPE).

Uvex focuses on the scientific development and testing of its products and materials in its own research laboratories. The Helix C5 is one example of a new safety glove with climate-controlling properties that reduce deviations from the body's preferred temperature and remove excess heat and moisture, so increasing the wearer's wellbeing, efficiency, comfort and dexterity.

The new xenova climatec safety footwear also contains these climatic properties so that feet remain cool and dry, with no risk of blistering or fungal infection. Teamed with comfort, shock absorbing insoles, light weight and impact resistant properties, the shoes look like ordinary trainers but offer much more.
