Cardno, manufacturer of products for the vehicle recovery industry, uses two materials from 3M – Scotchlite Reflective Material and Thinsulate insulation.

Cardno manufactures and supplies products for more than 3000 companies in the professional recovery industry, a potentially hazardous profession where workers face extreme conditions. A field that the company specialises in is protective clothing.

Recovery workers must be visible when working on the roadside, so Cardno includes Scotchlite Reflective Material on its jackets.

Cardno's Hilary Reglar says that Scotchlite Reflective Material reflects light back to its source from up to 230m away, with wide-angle performance, even in the wet. Cardno also uses 3M's Thinsulate insulation. The thin yet effective thermal lining eliminates the need for bulky padding.

Products incorporating in insulated lining include anoraks, bodywarmers, bomber jackets, coveralls, roadway jackets and liners.
