Quick to dispense covers for shoes
August 1st 2007 A West Midlands' firm has introduced a series of shoe cover dispensers for workplaces where high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are required. The company, BS 2005, believes the machines will allow employees and visitors to rapidly apply shoe covers without having to bend down and says they are already proving successful in environments such as food and pharmaceutical processing facilities, hospitals and laboratories. Covers are applied in seconds and there is no need for the user to place their hands near their footwear. The business is the brainchild of Dean Banner, who first saw the product demonstrated on a children's television programme. He says "Having worked extensively in the offshore industry where cleanliness and health and safety are paramount, I immediately saw the advantages of an automatic shoe dispenser and recognised it could benefit a large number of diverse industries."
