Emergency eye-wash
June 1st 2008

Showers & Eyebaths Services has been working with Greater Manchesterbased Wigan and Leigh College in the provision of effective, on-the-spot, emergency eye and face wash facilities.

It has provided two units, free of charge, to trial within the brickwork and car mechanic departments.

These areas are accessed via corridors, stairways and fire and safety access doors. This provided an ideal scenario to trial a shared portable eye and face wash facility that lets a decontamination facility be brought directly to the victim.

In addition the company has provided a fixed, mainsfed unit which has been attached to a sink within the brickwork department.
