Comfort that's out of this world
June 1st 2009

Steel Blue has released an improved version of its non-metallic safety boot range the Hi-PA, (High-Impact Polymer Alloy) which incorporates material originally developed for NASA to protect astronauts from extreme temperature fluctuations in space.

The temperature-regulating lining material called Outlast regulates the temperature of the foot and therefore generates less heat than standard shoe linings. The reduction in heat ensures minimal moisture generation, resulting in an improved shoe climate.

European sales manager, Richard Chatterton, says Steel Blue Hi-PA features a variety of new high technology materials and processes not previously available in safety footwear which will take the health and comfort of working feet to a new level.

Hi-PA passes all the major safety standards including the EN ISO 20345.

"We have put so much into the new range that it is miles in front of anything currently available," said Chatterton.
