Comforts and protects
June 1st 2005

Available from Bata Industrials, the new Spirit safety shoe range combines comfort with protection.

Sufficient space is built into the forefoot and instep to provide stability and comfort. The sole provides an anti-slip effect, while the top and lining are made from lightweight, breathable materials that keep the feet dry and fresh.

The range can be combined with Bata Industrials’ socks to further boost comfort.

A key feature of the footwear is the company’s Tunnelsystem, a recess in the heel. When pressed, this built-in shock absorber deforms to distribute pressure over a larger surface area.

This is said to spare the joints, helping to prevent fatigue and keeping the wearer upright.

The range comprises 16 models and is available in standard sizes 6 to 13. Five versions are offered from size 3 to cater for those with smaller feet. Almost all have a steel midsole to protect the feet against sharp objects.

The wide range of models ensures that there is a version suitable for both heavy and lighter duty applications.
