Ergonomic footwear
December 1st 2006

The Arbesko Group offers a wide range of safety footwear.

Recent introductions include the Stålex 350, a lightweight safety shoe with aluminium toe cap and soft penetration protection without metal. The penetration protection is said to have several advantages, including being ergonomic and flexible so that the shoes flex when feet bend. The shoe has a shock absorbing gel cushion in the heel.

Stålex 442 is another lightweight and durable model. Uppers are made from full-grain, specially waterproofed Super8 leather and have a Keprotec wear guard at the toe. Aluminium toe cap and soft penetration protection without metal are also features. The shoe has an Asymetrix sole that is said to have good anti-slip properties and there is Energy Gel in the heel for shock absorption.

Stålex 452 is an ankle boot that is said to offer excellent shock absorption and good anti-slip properties.

The company has recently been awarded a grant of SEK 3.7m from Vinnova, a Swedish governmental agency for innovation systems, to develop an entirely new ergonomic and functional safety shoe that is based on soft composites.
