Foot care guide
December 1st 2005

Foothealthcare.com is a website designed to support companies and their efforts to maintain high standards of health and safety by supplying products that keep employees healthy and safe at work.

It has released a foot care guide for safety managers and workers and this can be requested on line.

The company believes feet can often be overlooked as a cause to pain in the back, hips, knees, ankles and even headaches that can occur as a result of sore and tired feet. Biomechanics experts agree that a solution to these ailments lies in alleviating the reactionary forces that occur while standing and walking.

Foothealthcare.com says cushion/fatigue matting can be helpful, but is expensive and can cause other safety hazards, such as trips or falls.

However, it says that orthotic inserts (supportive insoles that fit inside the shoes) are a cost-effective solution to help maintain the body’s posture and alignment, preventing injury to the back and lower limb.

The company also offers cushioning heel pads and shock absorbing insoles.
