Footcare: free advice
June 1st 2004

Safety footwear specialist Jallatte is offering a free advice sheet on selecting the right safety footwear.

The 10-point plan is designed to help employers reduce the impact that foot fatigue and foot related injuries can have on productivity.

Paul Hamer of Jallatte, comments Selecting the right type of safety footwear for the job being undertaken is essential if staff are to remain injury-free and productive. We hope the information sheets will help health and safety managers determine the type of footwear appropriate for their staff.

Topics covered in the leaflet include: selecting the right grip for the environment; reducing the threat of micro traumatic injuries; protection against the working environment; and reducing wearer fatigue.

While safety remains the prerequisite to footwear selection, the information sheet stresses that comfort and styling should not be neglected.
