Footwear style
August 1st 2004

Street style is about to make a breakthrough into protective footwear claims BuckHickman InOne as it launches Puma safety shoes into the UK and the Republic of Ireland.

Better known for its sports and lifestyle footwear on the high street, Puma aims to bring the same qualities of design and comfort to its safety shoes.

The range features breathable uppers that, combined with cellular linings, provide a comfortable shoe for day long protection. The steel toecap provides a high level of toe freedom with different sizes used for different sized shoes. Protective padding around the toecap improves comfort for the wearer.

The outer sole is made from non-slip nitrile rubber that is highly heat, oil and fuel resistant and antistatic.

An injection moulded pu sole gives high energy absorption and this, plus the inclusion of a PUMA Cell in the heel with its honeycomb structure, reduces impact forces and helps support the natural foot motion.
