High level grip
February 1st 2005

Jallatte says roofers and other construction workers, whose safety depends on maximum underfoot grip, can benefit from the high level of adherence afforded by its Jalmars SAS boot.

Working at height in wet and slippery conditions, roofers are at particular risk of suffering slips, trips and falls. To reduce the risk, the Jalmars boot has been developed with a flat Triftane sole unit to ensure maximum contact between the boot and the surface being walked on.

The multifunctional sole unit is said to combine three cutting edge technologies: a flexible and light Softane comfort layer; an NBR outsole that matches the pressure zones of the feet to reduce foot fatigue; and an NBN protective grid that reinforces the entire structure to improve durabilty.

The sole unit is resistant to direct contact with heat sources to 33°C as well as oils, hydrocarbons, acids and alkalis. Physical protection is provided by an EN345-1 steel midsole and 200 joule toecap.
