Non-metallic footwear range

Goliath's Uniqlite safety footwear range includes a polycarbonate bullet-proof toe cap and multi-layer textile protective midsole for complete non-metallic construction.

The range includes a contemporary trainer, hiker boot and a rigger boot.

Goliath manufactures its own toe cap component which is made of a highly durable polycarbonate resistant to 200 joules. The same material is often used in the production of bullet proof windows and doors and is said to provide the optimum protective material for safety footwear.

The non-metallic midsole is a multi-layer textile composite named Lprotection PSW4. The company says tests have proved this to be more resistant and safer than steel, even with the smallest penetration.

Uniqlites are suitable for all airport staff, on site workers and those travelling by plane as the non-metallic footwear allows them to pass quickly through airport security.
