Protects against puncture hazards
February 1st 2006

Although designed to protect workers in the glass industry, the Wetzlar boot and Goslar shoe from Bata Industrials offer a high level of protection that will benefit wearers in many industry sectors.

A special ballisticmaterial lining (as used in bullet proof vests) enables the footwear to exceed the EN 388 Class 4 puncture test by Satra. Wetzlar and Goslar provide protection on the side of the upper part of the foot. The company says the puncture hazard from glass and other hazardous materials has been almost eliminated.

The footwear has a steel mid sole and TriTech sole that offers 300°C heat resistance and slip resistance.
