Silver solution to sweaty feet
June 1st 2008

Carnation Footcare's Silversocks are made with silver-coated fibres that act as a natural heat thermostat, regulating the foot's temperature – whatever the weather.

The silver will not wash off or diminish in effectiveness, so it will continue to keep the feet cool when it is hot and warm when an impromptu downpour occurs.

Dave Wain, podiatrist at Carnation Footcare, explains "The feet contain approximately 250 000 sweat glands that excrete as much as half a pint of moisture a day. Moisture around the foot and the resultant odour can cause discomfort, especially when rushing about in hot weather. Carnation Silversocks help feet feel cool and fresh, and 99.9% of odour-causing bacteria is eliminated within one hour.
