Cutting hand injuries
December 1st 2004

In a bid to reduce the incidence of workplace cuts to the hands and upper extremities, Ansell has introduced Intercept Technology that, it says, can deliver cut resistance results of EN Level 5 in very thin, lightweight knits.

The first protective products to incorporate Intercept technology are a new range of lightweight industrial gloves. These offer dexterity and comfort for those handling sharp materials.

The gloves are flexible, breathable and closefitting, allowing freedom of movement. The company says that those wearing the gloves require less effort during repetitive gripping and flexing, resulting in reduced hand fatigue for users who need to wear gloves all day.

A video showing cut resistance, stretchability and other tests carried out on Intercept Technology can be viewed at: www.
