DuPont Nomex expansion plans on track
August 1st 2008 DuPont has invested 100M
USD in an expansion plan
that will dramatically increase
the capacity of Nomex staple
products in the Asturias
plant. The project, which
commenced in January 2007
and is on schedule to
complete in the summer, will
facilitate a 10% increase in
the capacity of Nomex in
2008 and a 30% increase in
2009.
The requirement for the
expansion plan indicates high
demand for high performance
heat-and-flame protective
clothing made from DuPont
Nomex across a diverse range
of applications and
industries, such as military,
