Greater demands placed on showers
December 1st 2005

Hughes Safety Showers says that, when it comes to emergency safety showers, the 'one size fits all' solution is no longer valid.

More hazards and increasing legislation are placing greater demands on safety equipment.

The American National Standard ANSI Z 358.1 2004 has been widely adopted. It covers safety showers, eyebaths and facewash fountains and provides a benchmark for equipment designers and a reference for those who have to specify equipment. The ANSI standard simplifies the calculation of the flow rate, duration of operation and water temperatures necessary for safe, effective use.

Products made by Hughes Safety Showers comply fully with the standard to ensure that they meet the four key requirements for effective operation - adequate water flow, ease of use, instant operation and reliability. Products range from simple indoor units to more sophisticated outdor models.
