High visibility check
August 1st 2004

As an increasing number of reflective materials are now available, it is important that the garment buyer or manufacturer specifies that the tape used on high visibility garments or accessories conforms to the necessary EN standards.

3M uses both glass bead and microprismatic technologies to produce a range of Scotchlite retroreflective materials that comply with EN471 and ensure the visibility and safety of the wearer.

There are 20 types of Scotchlite reflective tapes and trims, including speciality features such as flame retardancy, industrial wash and imaged products. There are options on type, colour, wash durability and customisation of hi-vis tapes. The company also offers free, impartial advice.
