Protection covered
February 1st 2010

Whether involved in a road incident, civil disaster or terrorist attack, emergency services personnel are increasingly having to detect a wide range of hazardous chemical and biological agents - and protect both themselves and others against them.

To meet these demands Draeger now offers a host of gas detection, escape, chemical protection and breathing apparatus solutions. Examples include: The Draeger PacEx2 explosive gas and oxygen monitor which can be used with minimal training; the Draeger Civil Defence Set (CDS) which can detect up to eight chemical substances for on-the-spot detection of nerve, blood, lung, nose and throat irritating agents and the Draeger Parat C Escape Hood which can aid an escape by providing up to 15 minutes of breathable air.

For instances when all-round, complete protection is needed Draeger's chemical protection suits can be worn for long periods in addition to the decontamination phase; breathing apparatus and helmets can be worn inside or outside the suits.

Draeger also offers a wide range of ergonomically designed, compressed air breathing apparatus (CABA) for use in a firefighting applications.
