Sound level meters
June 1st 2004

A new range of easy-to-use sound level meters has been introduced by Cirrus Research to meet the needs of health and safety professionals.

The CR:260 Series consists of four different instruments CR: 262 and CR:261, Type 2 and Type 1 respectively, provide for the measurement of Leq, LCPeak, Lmax and Lmin. The CR:264 and CR:263 units add 1:1 Octave Band filters to these measurements.

James Tingay, sales and marketing manager, says We have designed this new range of instruments to provide the essential features needed to comply with Noise at Work regulations.

Instruments can be upgraded to the +Version, that lets up to 100 measurements be stored and downloaded to the Deaf Defier 3 software. In the case of the CR:264 and CR:263 units, upgrading allows software to help in the selection of hearing protection or PPE.
