Time to reflect
August 1st 2008

3M has introduced the Scotchlite Reflective Material Comfort Trim Series. This new design is made out of highly durable reflective material but is flexible and lightweight.

The result is a tape that can be incorporated into everyday workwear, removing the need for an additional high visibility garment.

The heat-applied reflective trim uses the same glass-bead technology featured on other Scotchlite reflective materials from 3M. However, unlike traditional solid trims, the material is arranged into diagonally cut segments, a design that is said to boast benefits such as: improved moisture vapour transmission, helping to keep wearers drier and cooler; increased drape and flexibility, making the garment feel less stiff to wear; wash durability, resulting in the reflective material retaining brightness for longer, and providing value for money.

There are now around 20 types of Scotchlite Reflective Tapes and Trims, including special features such as flame retardancy, industrial wash and custom imaging.
