Campaign to cut injuries
August 1st 2007

Marigold Industrial will be launching a campaign at Health & Safety 07 to protect the hands and arms of people working in the meat processing sector.

The company says that despite the effectiveness of the HSE's Recipe for Success campaign in driving down workplace injuries in the food production sector, the combined injury rate for the food and drink industry remains among the highest of any manufacturing injury rate in the UK.

Hand injuries, especially in the meat processing sector, remain one of the major causes of worker injury, a situation that Marigold Industrial plans to address through a number of initiatives over a three month campaign.

Donald Gillespie, industrial international marketing manager, comments "Our three month campaign will be launched at Health & Safety 07 and will consist of raising awareness of both the dangers involved in the meat processing sector and the importance of both good training and ensuring the right level of protective equipment is supplied." Visitors to the Marigold Industrial stand can enter a draw to win a corporate day out at a top Premier League match at Bolton's Reebok Stadium.
