Bennett Safetywear has expanded its Fortis range of gloves and mitts designed to withstand extreme temperatures .

Using the latest fibre and knitting technology, the Fortis range combines very high strength with excellent thermal stability. The heavyweight double-lined 5-finger glove, with waterproof breathable membrane to protect against scalds, offers cut-resistance to Level 5 EN 388 and dexterity, whilst withstanding temperatures of 600+°C .

The Fortis Xtreme mitt is constructed of a combination of high performance materials with excellent radiant heat properties and a seamless knitted outer for added durability. It has proved to be suitable for prolonged use at 650°C without any burning of the outer layer.
