Selection service
October 1st 2007

A consulting service for industrial production sites has been introduced by Ansell. The Guardian assessment methodology focuses on selecting appropriate work gloves to help multinationals increase worker safety, standardise references, reduce purchasing costs and reduce product cost-of-use by extending wear. Ansell says that worker productivity can be increased through wearing gloves that are matched to the task in hand. The company comments that injury frequency rates at a European automotive OEM supplier dropped from 64 to 5 just months after implementing Guardian assessment recommendations at the site.
