The gloves are off
August 1st 2008

Sperian Protection has launched two new products that combine protection and freedom of movement: Perfect Poly Aqua and Polytril Air Comfort gloves.

Polyurethane (PU) gloves are recognised for their ability to resist abrasion and tears, as well as their comfort. However, the method used for their manufacture involves the use of a toxic solvent, DMF (DIMETHYLFORMAMIDE) to dilute the polyurethane.

Perfect Poly Aqua gloves, knit polyamide/spandex with a water-based (thus solventfree) PU coating on the palm and fingertips eliminating toxic dangers and reducing the risk of allergies.

Thanks to the water-based solution, the PU does not penetrate the glove so there is no contact between the hand and the coating.

New fibre technology has increased the absorption properties of the polyamide, reducing the feeling of perspiration.
