Side protection
October 1st 2009 JSP has launched what is said to be
the first high performance, side
impact industrial safety helmet to
meet the European Standard
EN14052, which was established in
2005. Called the EVO8, the helmet
will protect against forces three times
harsher than those defined by the
standard EN397 and protects the
head from side impacts as well as
from severe impact to the crown of
the helmet.
The EVO8 is designed for the
highest risk environments such as
mining and tunnelling, demolition,
construction, refinery, marine and
offshore working. Its build quality
complements the standard of design
and materials which go into the
helmet, including features such as a
high density liner and a comfortable
new harness design which help create
wearer comfort and acceptability.
