DOSEMETER WITH INCREASED RANGE
February 1st 2005

Cirrus Research has introduced a new version of its doseBadge personal noise dosemeter system.

The CR:110A has an increased measurement range, logging of true Peak(C), new NiMH battery system and increased infrared communications range.

Configuration of the doseBadge, including Criterion Level and Exchange Rate can be adjusted independently.

There are neither cables nor controls on the unit. This is said to reduce the risk of tampering or misuse, and the small size and low weight of the device means the wearer will quickly forget about it.

This also helps reduce the risk of tampering or shouting into the microphone, a common problem with all noise measurements.
