Food Rockets
October 1st 2005

To help companies prepare for the new EU Noise at Work Directive that comes into force next year, Moldex UK is offering companies noise compliance reviews and free trials of its latest Rockets earplugs.

The main changes from existing regulations are the reduction by 5dB of the exposure levels at which action has to be taken.

Building on the success of its original Rockets range of re-usable hearing protection, the company has introduced a new plug for the food industry. The blue Rockets fully detectable plug features not only a detectable plug, but a fully metal detectable cord.

Moldex believes that Rockets are the only plugs of their type to be made in two separate parts and says that they guarantee softness in the ear, ease of insertion and an increased SNR protection value of 27dB.

For the non-food market the company has introduced an upgraded version of its Rocket. The plug has an SNR value of 30dB.
