Measure of protection
April 1st 2008

E.A.RFit hearing protection validation system from E.A.R enables employers to know the level of protection workers are receiving personally and does not rely on other people's statistical data.

Each ear canal shape is different and fitting techniques vary. This can result in different protection levels for each worker.

E.A.RFit documents each worker's Personal Attenuation Rating in minutes. The test can be performed on a variety of E.A.R hearing protectors, including Classic, E.A.Rsoft and UltraFit.

E.A.RFit is an F-MIRE (field-microphone-in-realear) test system with dual element microphone measuring sound inside and outside the ear. It takes 8sec to get data at seven standard (125 to 8000Hz) frequencies.
