Measures noise
October 1st 2004

Cirrus Research has introduced a new range of high performance sound level meters.

The CR:800B series comprises six instruments, all based around a basic unit. There are Type 1 and Type 2 versions with the options of 1:1 or 1:3 octave band filters, allowing them to be used for a wide range of applications, including occupational and environmental noise measurement.

The product range meets all current regulations and standards, including the IEC 61672 standard for sound level meters.

The CR:800B series can be supplied as complete measurement kits, and can be upgraded with the addition of outdoor measurement kits that provide weather protection for the instrument and the microphone unit.

Instruments are supplied with Deaf Defier 3 software that helps users produce noise measurement reports.

James Tingay, sales and marketing manager, says The aim of the CR:800B series is to provide all the functions and features required in a simple-to-use package.
