3M has added to its passive hearing conservation range with the introduction of a lightweight, clip-on product that provides health and safety managers with a quick and simple guide to potential noise hazard levels. The new 3M Noise Indicator NI- 100EU offers easy, durable noise level detection, helping identify areas where hearing protection may need to be worn. It uses an LED lighting system, which flashes green when exposed to ambient noise levels below 85db(A) and red for noise levels above 85dB(A), when hearing protection equipment must legally be worn.

Small and lightweight, the Noise Indicator has a rechargeable battery that operates for up to 200 hours between charges, and an automatic turn-off system.
