Smooth worker
February 1st 2005

Available from Aearo is a new earplug that softens and shapes with body heat.

E.A.R classic soft earplugs are made of a new foam that is said to have a smaller cell structure and to feel smoother to the touch than other foam.

The plugs start out firm enough to make roll down and insertion easy. However, as the foam warms to the body temperature, it becomes even softer and shapes to the wearer’s ear canal.

This shaping allows the plugs to form an effective seal against noise (36 SNR) and, as time goes on, the foam continues to soften to afford further comfort and lower pressure in the ear.

Cylindrical in shape, the new earplugs are available with or without a cord.
