Foam soaps
August 1st 2011

Tork manufacturer SCA has added to its hand care range with a new antimicrobial foam hand cleaner and two eco-labelled foam soaps.

Tork Antimicrobial Foam Cleanser is said to be kind to the hands, while its 40% ethanol, means it destroys bacteria, viruses and fungi.

"This is effectively a soap and disinfectant in one," said SCA product and segment manager, Charlotte Branwhite. "It is ideal for use in the food and healthcare industries where a germicidal action is often preferred. The fact that Tork Antimicrobial Foam Cleanser contains emollient ingredients such as glycerine and betaine also makes it gentle on the skin, which means it can be used frequently without causing chapping." Tork Antimicrobial Foam Cleanser incorporates lower concentrations of alcohol than other sanitisers on the market. This means it has lower VOC emission levels than most alcohol-based products, which is a sustainability benefit.

Also new is Tork Mild Foam Soap which is particularly suitable for use in public toilets in restaurants, offices and hotels; and Tork Extra Mild Foam Soap which is aimed at environments such as schools and hospitals where a particularly mild formulation is required.

Tork Mild Foam Soap contains natural skin lipids to prevent dryness, while Tork Extra Mild Foam Soap is fragrance-free and contains no sulphates.
