Cracking the code
April 1st 2006

There has been an avalanche of new health and safety at work legislation in recent years. The provision of adequate PPE is one area that has been tightened up and there is now a whole range of codes, signs and symbols denoting conformity to minimum legal requirements and different classifications of protection.

To help customers through this minefield, Dickies has published on its website information about what these symbols mean and the level of protection provided.

The site - www.dickiesuk.co.uk - has a page dedicated to explaining clearly and concisely what these symbols and numerical codes actually mean. Advice is offered and a description given of the circumstances and situations where products bearing these codes should be worn.

Dickies aims to simplify the entire PPE purchasing process by eliminating confusion.
