Resin on the rise
June 1st 2004

Vinyl sheet has long been the solution of choice for many in the flooring industry. Degafloor, however, believes that while vinyl still offers many excellent benefits, more specifiers are now demanding the installation of resin-based flooring systems.

A leading advocate of resin flooring, James Wright, commercial director of Degafloor, suggests the current change in attitude is driven by closer focus on whole-life costing.

He explains Vinyl sheet has traditionally been specified on a first fit cost basis. However, many specifiers are now looking to obtain best lifetime value, so they are specifying products that combine durability with the lowest possible refurbishment costs.

The main benefit of a Degafloor resin flooring system is its durability and ease of refurbishment. Our systems are highly resistant to weathering, extremes of temperature, uv light and many other factors.

When refurbishment is required, we can easily add an additional coating to the floor that, through a chemical bonding process, creates a good-as-new finish ready for full use within 2h of installation.
